Allow exposure of `/admin` endpoints to be configurable 8 months ago

AI Summary: This issue proposes making the exposure of `/admin` endpoints configurable, ideally through an allowlist or denylist mechanism. The primary goal is to enhance security by allowing users to restrict access to only necessary admin functionalities, such as exposing a healthcheck endpoint without revealing all other admin features.
